If you are located in the district with resident medical support staff, one of our staff, who work in relays around the clock, will come to the hospital you are in to provide support, including medical interpretation, in time of emergency. (The attendant service for hospitalized persons is not included.)
If you are located in the district without resident medical support staff, we will dispatch our staff from the district with resident medical support staff depending on the severity of your illness or injury. (Actual transportation and accommodation costs for the dispatch shall be born by you.)

If you possess effective overseas travel insurance or local medical insurance serviceable by WellBe, we provide cashless service for illnesses/injuries confirmed to be under coverage.
When using our cashless service, you will not have to pay on the spot after receiving treatment, as we will both pay on your behalf and claim with your insurance company on your behalf.

  • ・When undergoing an operation overseas, the hospital may ask you to have your family member sign a consent form for the operation and anesthesia.
    We will contact an emergency contact person you designated when subscribing our service and after explaining the situation, make arrangements to have your family member to sign the consent form.
  • ・For a consent form, our suppport staff will translate it into Japanese, if necessary, and give a full account of it.

  • ・We make arrangements of the land, sea or air (regular or chartered flight) transportation for a patient depending on the medical condition.

  • ・We also may refer to the affiliated hospitals in Japan.

Arrangements for repatriation and local cremation of the remains

If your employee dies abroad, we can provide the following arrangements:

  • ・We will obtain all required documents (from local hospitals, police, notary's office, embassy, consulate, funeral home/hall) and help you complete required procedures.
  • ・We will make arrangements as requested by the bereaved family (transportation of the remains to the home in Japan or to the designated place, or cremation in the local country).
  • ・We will introduce a funeral home in Japan if necessary.
